Ana Odak graduated economics at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb. She is a university specialist in European Studies and Master of Science in Social Sciences, field of Political Science, International Relations and National Security.


She began her career as a marketing assistant after which she was employed by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and then by the Ministry of Justice as the Head of Department within the Anti-Corruption Sector. From the Ministry of Justice which she went to pursue her career as a spokesperson in the Agency for Regional Development, where her professional career in the field of EU funds started developing. Through her long-time work at the Ministry of Regional Development and EU funds she gathered rich experience and valuable knowledge in the field of EU funds which she successfully implemented later as a spokesperson of the Ministry. In 2016 she was appointed Assistant Minister of Regional Development and EU funds managing Directorate for Strategic Planning and Coordination of EU Funds.


Her current field of work is consisted of establishing and coordinating the entire system of strategic development planning at the national level, including co-ordination of the drafting of the National Development Strategy of the Republic of Croatia until 2030. She also co-ordinates the implementation of international financial mechanisms and other assistance programs, including the EEA Grants and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and the Swiss-Croatian Cooperation Programme.
